I’ll be the first to admit that this year, I did take advantage of big box sales yesterday, but I fully intend to support small businesses this year in my holiday shopping. My friend Megha has been decorating cookies since 2008, but only recently did she launch Silicon Valley Cookie Company. A mom to two little ones, Megha balances full-time parenting with creating beautiful, organic sugar cookies. The final small business to highlight this year was founded by another mom friend of mine, Ria, who recently embraced her love of pottery and began throwing again. After a few months, she launched her own Etsy shop!
